I had a little time to kill the other day and I haven't detected my yard in awhile so I figured what the heck, with my new 13" coil maybe I'll find something I missed before. I live in an old apartment building that was built in 1874 and used to be the court house until the 1930s or 40s, and I've done pretty good in the yard, 7 silver coins including my one and only walking liberty half, couple Indian head cents, buffalos, Vs... So I usually dig most solid signals. But I must have missed one, it was a weird signal coming in low with an occasional high tone. When I flipped the plug over I found a 1947 nickel first but my pinpointer was still going off and I popped up a mercury dime! I was pretty amazed as I've gone over this area over a dozen times! Also found a cool old oil lamp with a patent date of Nov 26th, 72. Probably was lost when they were building this place! Thanks for looking and HH!

Nice finds!! But there are many many great things to be found that are choppy signals.
