Smile Lazy man's Simplex+ VDI #s.....

I'm the lazy man because it has taken me over a year to gather up some finds and chart their VDI numbers.

This is very unscientific. I just set the finds on a board on the lawn and passed the detector over them. All in Park 1 or Park 2. Things were pretty consistent, maybe off one digit on a pass or two. But the bottle cap was all over the place.

Here's a photo and a list, hope it helps someone that is even lazier than me!

Tent stake ----- 64

square nail ---- 04

Bottle cap ---- 45-65

Lead sinker--- 63

Modern penny -- 67

Indian head --- 67

Dollar coin --- 90

Modern quarter -- 90

Modern dime -- 78

Modern nickel -- 30

Silver quarter --- 91

Silver dime --- 85

Buffalo nickel --- 30

Silver ring ---- 77

Gold ring ---- 55

I used the Sp24 coil, smaller than the stock coil. Have not run numbers with the stock coil but just from memory i can say that coins and pull tabs ring up pretty much the same on each.
