Found this 1909 Miles City Mont badge. Little fire encrusted, that I'd really like to clean up.
Appears to be gold plated
Any ideas on what would remove the slag !!

Badge cleanup

I use vinegar on old brass and copper items. Start at 15 minute intervals.
