I thought this was a cartwheel but the measurements don't mesh. Vdi was same as a large cent. It isn't magnetic, weighs 24.2 grams, 41.1 mm diameter. I can see an outline in the one picture. Beginning to think it might be junk or maybe a counterfeit

That's quite interesting...Not sure what you guys refer to as "cartwheels" but in the UK, we think of George III "cartwheel" pennies from 1797..Your coin is about the correct weight, but too large..

However there is also a George III twopence from the same time period which is 41mm in diameter but weighs 2oz /50grams...

So yours could possibly be a counterfeit of that, but it seems unlikely? Maybe it's some sort of commemorative coin/medal?

Yep I refer to Cartwheel as the 1 oz 1797 coin. It could be a token of some sort but unfortunately think this is one for the unidentifiable jar

41 mm is right for a two pence. The weight is wrong though. Those big coins were popular for making into love tokens...could be a unfinished blank love token. The fat rim is of the right proportions to be a two pence cartwheel. Look close for any inscriptions...rare find...

Only thing that makes sense. I'm fairly sure it's copper but the other side has nothing on it whatsoever. Oh well probably one for the unidentifiable jar
