That's right folks, gold in the coinstar!
Today I saw someone dumping a huge bucket full of coins and they jammed it up.
After they left, I walked up and laying right there on the counter was the 1967 Kennedy half:shock:
I don't know if they thought it was counterfeit or what?
Next, I noticed a small baggie with a few items: pick, watch battery, and GOLD!!!!
Lastly, were all the other coins still in the tray, as the machine was in error.
I could not make this up if I tried...

Wow! First gold I've ever seen from a coinstar! You get a dingee !:dingding:
Thank you

   That token that says 'no cash value'...yet they still put it through to see if Coinstar accepts it

Btw, congrats on a nice haul! Definitely one you'll remember

Like, score!
I sent in a crown I wrestled away from my dentist and sent it in for melt.
Dental gold is usually higher than 14k but not as high or as soft as 22-24k.
According to a guy that bought a lot of it the average purity is about 16k.
I got close to $150 for mine so easy money.

OK, this is just crazy! Who would...why would they...what the...??? Whatever happened, it was good for you! Congrats on the nice score.
Yeah, I can just hear an old bumpkin "I lost my tooth, where is it? We took it to the coinstar grampa:lol::laughing:

I will be taking it in for valuation, but will probably keep it with all the other gold I found. I have a goldsmith friend who can melt it all down and make me something cool:D

Someone had to get a new crown and they forgot they stashed the old one in the coin jar:lol: BTW, I just had an old crown removed and mine had a slot in it just like your gold one. That's how they remove them, they cut a vertical slot and pry it open so it pops right off.
