i found this headstamp this morning about 4-5 inches down in a field. i haven't found a lot of info on it except that it may possibly date back to about 1907.
i know Dominion is a Canadian company and i've fired my fair share of their brand, but i've never seen the "Crown" name before.
it's a short brass shell, the paper is long gone and it has a copper primer (it looks white from the light reflecting off the oil i put on it).... and i see buddy's firing pin isn't centered very good. :lol:

That's a great headstamp. I have never seen this particular one before. As I am sure you know, it was a black powder line. Unfortunately, I am not sure of it's age. I am still researching this one. If one site is correct, Dominion changed their headstamp from D.C.Co. to Dominion starting around 1911.
