45 min hunt produces oddest mix of finds ever

Well I certainly did not expect to find these items during my short 45 min hunt with my MAX while my kids had soccer practice:

1975 license plate; rang up as a 92 on my MAX
Insulin needle (does not register on my detector but was in the same hole as the 38mm coin!)
1980 two cent coin from Australia; rang up as an 83 if I recall correctly. Boy is she far from home!
1957 Sewanee, TN University Centennial 38mm bronze commemorative coin; rang up as a 90.
A couple copper Lincolns
Old lead
Winchester Leader headstamp

I'd like to take a minute to stress the importance of using care when fishing around in a dug hole with your fingers. I dodged a bullet today as the needle was capped, but it was right next to the 38mm bronze coin I found. I was wearing gloves but I was doing a lot of fishing around inside the hole as my pinpointer was freaking out with a coin that big. Be careful out there guys and gals!

Interesting finds! Those 2c coins sound very nicely, so it's always a bit disappointing for me to see one in the plug! They are literally everywhere! :lol:

What a crazy mix! I like that lizard coin! Also, on that needle...definitely a big fear of mine since I hunt barehanded digging around in the dirt with my one finger after stabbing a hole for a coin...and hunt the beaches barefoot too....so yeah...gives a guy chills to see needles...

Exactly Mud. When I saw it I got a chill knowing how close I could have come to getting pricked. It was a good lesson to share with my young son as well.
