After reading AZWIP’s post: XP Deus - Little Mod to help it Stand. I was trying to figure out an easily removable alternative. I can’t use AZWIP’s solution as I have the Deus hard case and I’d have to remove them whenever I use the case.
I do a lot of tinkering in my garage and came up with this:
I bought an Irwin 2” plastic clamp. Clamped it to the pistol grip to get an idea of how much to trim off. I squeezed the clamp and put 2 wire ties to hold it while I cut it to length. After cleaning up the rough edges I test fit it. It seems to work great. It adds very little weight and is relatively stable on the basement carpet!
