My wife and I will be taking a 3 week vacation in Yorkshire. I really would like to do some detecting.
We're staying in a converted barn/guesthouse in the Stanbury/ Haworth / Keighley area.
Can I MD on the public paths?
Other areas I can MD without getting arrested?

Looking forward to your responses from my new MD friends in the UK!

-Cheers

The answer is no to both questions.

Public footpaths. They come under the term 'Permissive Permission' which means a member of the public have the legal right to walk over private land from A to B.

Bridleways for use of horse and riders.

All land belongs to somebody so you need their permission to use a metal detector on the land.

I have sent you a PM with a couple of contact details.
