Got out yesterday for some big lake hunting both in the wet and the dry. Hit some greenies in the wet at one stop but couldn't land an old yeller... met up with my buddy to do some dry sand because the big lake is still chilly and after 4 hours I had enough.

Got to the beach for some dry sanding and there was already another guy detecting there with an Ace 250. We headed down to the towel line and started hitting plenty of targets. About 30ft from the shore I hit a spill that went... penny, nickel, junk ring, quarter, 10k, penny, penny! The first ring gave me a quick scare cuz all I saw was the stone first. The second ring made me smile huge because I saw the bright shinny yeller bouncing around in my scoop as the sand left it! I knew that was the real ticket! 1.8g of 10k and I'll take it!

Going back out today and tomorrow to see what the weekend crowd leaves us!

:dingding:Finding gold in dry sand is extra surprising!

Nice haul!

I found the same ring as yours, the one with the large green stone, only with opal.
Pretty neat.

Very nice Congrats, Mrs Irons would have snatched that one from me as soon as I got it home.
