I think its a part of a reed from some sort of instrument.

Those harmonica reeds are such frequent finds. Donít know if they give off an extra strong signal or that many people dropped their harmonica.

It is actually because they wore out often and were replaced and just kinda tossed where ever. you almost always find only the reeds and very rarely the whole harmonica.
