Default I need help identifying this button.

I found this button in my field. Just for reference In the same field I've found different coins from 1787 through 1820s and a bunch of other flat buttons but nothing quite like this one. Also there are no markings on the back that I can see. Any information anyone has would be greatly appreciated!

Looks period to match what you've been finding. Unfortunately what you'll notice is buttons were made by so many companies in so many designs, without being cataloged, so there's not much for records to them unless it's a military button. Do you have a picture of the back? The shank type helps narrow down the date usually a little bit better.
