Found these today. They are brass but i dont know what they could be.

Found these today. They are brass but i dont know what they could be.

I found one that looks like the ridged thing you have. Mine has a piece that slides in and out. I still don't know what it is but maybe that will help someone I.D. Yours. I just made it up in my head that it was an old travel razor handle. I found it next to a few disposable blade holders.
 
Ice Scratcher nailed the ID. It's a telephone drop wire clamp, the older ones are copper, the newer ones aluminum. I use 'em all the time on my telecom job.
 
This guy found one of the ridged things and called it a tent rope tensioner. I couldn't find any evidence of it but another clue I guess.

Telephone line, service drop hanger...

Not even a coaxial cable TV drop, its a phone line hanger..

I've literally audited tens of thousands of them on utility poles in as many as 16 states...
