Did a combination beach/woods hunt at dawn. Sure was surprised to find this. Initially thought it wasn't silver but just looked like it, kind of like the 65 U.S. quarters seem to. Turns out it's 80% silver 20% copper. Happy hunting!

Congrats on the silver Canadian quarter. Yours was part of all the 1967 coins which featured wildlife on them. A dove for the penny, a rabbit on the nickel, A fish on the dime, the bobcat on the quarter, a wolf on the half, and a goose on the dollar.

Here's the whole set of the 1967 wildlife coins.

Thanks for posting these. Found a couple of those pennies over the years but nothing else until yesterday. đź‘Ť
Over the years I've found a few of the pennies but no others from the 1967 set.
My only silver Canadian coin find was an 1881 silver five cent piece. I've found a few clad Canadian quarters and a lot of the pennies with maple leaf on them.
