Default Beach hydrolics from rain, settling etc

Does anyone know if there is any analysis of what happens to things in the sand during a heavy rainfall? For instance, Does the sand become somewhat bouyant/ less density, allowing metals to sink deeper?

I think the bigger concern would be temperature of the water. And to a degree current and wind direction. Rain is nothing compared to any of the above.
Colder water has more "umph" behind it allowing for that winter erosion everyone loves

Most beach hunters hit the front 1/3 of the beach most of all. Thats where the people are mostly. For the ocean anyway, thats where the most change takes place as well. Huge surges, wind directions, storms, seasonal tide changes and RAIN eroison likely move more targets around (buries/unburies) than anything else. Most targets will move to their equal weight..... unless stopped by something.... just like in the dirt.

It would most likely be somewhat different for each beach.
