Is this a Civil War Button Naval Button?

Found this in the summer while I was in Philadelphia. Have found some similar buttons on the internet but haven't found an exact match.

The backmark book shows that as being large letters, dating from 1893. Your button appears to be on page 102 of Albert's button book. I think it is item number NA 113. That would make the backmark about correct. Still a very nice recovery.

I was surprised on how much gold plating was still intact.

Sweet button! The amount of gold gilt varies due to a lot of factors. Type of soil, amounts of fertilizer over the years, and wear before being lost are some
 
That's a very nice find even if it's not civil war era or earlier! I bet it would clean up and shine even more. Congrats on the very cool recovery!
