So day one of a nine day vacation in the Cayman Islands. We, as in me and my grandparents, started out at Cemetery Beach to go snorkeling, the water was way to rough, so I suggested we go metal detecting. First swing about 1" down in the sand a Jamaican Quarter, good sign. Second Swing, Cayman penny. Then we went snorkeling for a while and found some seaglass. After we went snorkeling I did some more metal detecting and found what I think is a old English coin, Georgvis something or other, look at the pic and see if you know what it is. After that we ate and went to seven mile where I found the usual Clad (cayman), pull tabs, and bottle tops.

Cool, whats the other side of the King George V coin say? Should have the date on the other side too.

Looks like good results, Ace 250 is killing! Must be some good targets if you found a 1940's coin in the dry sand.

Have fun :D

Older than the 40's.
George v was 1910-1936.
The caymens are british territory, but still surprising to see a penny turn up on the beach. Nice find.
