Last summer a 95 year old lady in a nearby town asked me if I would take her for a ride in my car which is nearly the same age as she is. I took her for a lengthy spin and she had a blast waving at everyone from the back seat. Yesterday she told me to detect her yard anytime I wanted.Right away I got a strange erratic signal. I dug down about 4 inches and came up with my first ever merc, a 1939. I rescanned the hole and got more signals. Further digging brought up a 1936 buffalo nickel and another buff with no readable date. Even more digging brought up a 1918 wheat and a 1935 wheat.Going furthe into the yard got me a strange brass or bronze piece, a tiny broken spoon and 2 clad dimes. I plan to return when I can stay longer.
