I've read conflicting views on how this works, does anyone know 100% the correct way and in what senario or in what mix of other settings it works best?
Tnss you should know this??

I can only give my opinion based on use.

It will cause noise produced by coil bumping to be less.

Does it affect depth when used?
There are folks who use Deus that say no.

I usually use no ground notch at all.
I wouldn't go overboard with using too much if Indid use.
Like run it down to 85 or so.

You have likely watched you tube showing its affects.

No, i've not watched any vids as yet, wanted some first hand info on how it actually works in practice before venturing onto youtube.

It will really help with chatter on the Deus as it does with mine. What TNS said is correct and it will eliminate hot rocks as well. I run mine down to 80 and I don't think it's effecting depth

Never used it. Just keep my GB set at 85. Anything lower and my machine will chatter a lot more especially when the coil strikes something. My soil is not mineralized though

I am going to put this link here.
Some folks may find it helpful, especially new Deus owners.
Even folks considering Deus purchase may find this helpful.

I posted this link above

If folks will scroll down to the bottom, there are many many pages of helpful info.

I do caution folks, remember current latest version is 4.0, some of the video and information may indeed be reflective of earlier version(s).

This link explains somewhat what version 4 brought to Deus.
Might help limit some confusion.
