Finally ......The great depression has ended........
Had a permission from a friend at work at his 1928 house. No luck there, but he said there used to be an older house in the field across from his house. I caught up with the neighbor got the nod for that lot.....I did manage a rough looking merc there, but not much else.... . On my way out of town I spotted a rough looking house with that old looking form ....As I'm driving by my eyes were scanning the base of the house to see what type of foundation it was showing......Then I saw it ....that crumbling stacked stone section of one side of the foundation that I'd been hoping to see......And as luck would have it today there was the owner sitting on the side porch. Long story short , I got started on the yard and after a few claddies I got a sweet quarter signal but at only 5 inches .....I was pretty much expecting another clad quarter but there it was a super welcome sight in the hole ....Finally something decent for the year......I was famished but wanted to keep at it, but I ended up buying the owner lunch and we ate on the porch and then I hunted for another hour but that's about all that yard had to offer........But I was super super happy ....a mint mark would have been nice , but oh well....shes in pretty darn good shape ......
I guess that is just silver number 15 fty......they are getting pretty scarce around here ........hopefully I'll get just a few more before I hang it up .....
till next time..........hopefully soon......HH everyone.......
