Polished neolithic axe head

It dates from 4000 bc to 2500 bc

Found it along with some samian ware pieces and plaster work and pottery from a roman site also wild boar teeth

Very nice. I love Stone Age relics. Very similar to what we have over here. I guess an axe is an axe is an axe. We call the ungrooved ones "celts". Congrats.

BTW- What was the VDI on that thing? :lol:
 
Hey now that is sweet! Over across the ocean there are lots of old artifacts like what you have found. Indian arrowheads are laying in the corn fields everywhere here in Indiana. I have a good collection of them myself. Last year found a double bladed axe but had nicks in it.
 
Now that is a great find ! Should be an excellent site with the period of occupation.
How you getting on with the XP ?
 
not too bad found not much else a few 18 th century coins and a dagger or sword weight (maybe??)_ but that about it so far m8

said to him there maybe arrow heads and the like and then saw one on the ground and gave it to him!!
