Found this around an old home site. it was super crusty and let it soak in Evaporust for about a month. I finally got the vast majority of the concretions off. Any ideas as to what it is? Thanks for looking.

A broken off lathe tool, used to cut wood as it spins on a lathe..

That is my guess, could be pretty old..

FWIW, looks like it is broken at the handle end at least, and maybe the cutting end...

I could be way off though..

Your guess is as good as mine. It definitely looks like it either broke off something or fit into something like a handle. Thanks for taking a look.
