I hunted a permission on a friend's property for the third time on Friday. To the best of my knowledge, the property was part of an orchard MANY years ago, but it has reverted to just a partially wooded hillside.
The second time, I found one of these and wasn't sure. This time, I found two more along with a bunch of shotgun shells and old headstamps. I'm almost positive that these are lead, and, as you can see, they have a high ridge and a hollow center. If these are bullets, there are definitely at least two different calibers, maybe three.
Sorry for any obvious ignorance. I am not a hunter or a gun guy, so it is not obvious to me. Can anyone place these in time? Thanks much!
