I recently found a cut Reale. I don’t know a lot about them. I tried finding out more about this coin. But I can’t find the exacted one. What denomination it is? What age it is? Why it’s not cut in 1/4? What do the letters on both sides of the shield mean? That’s the part I can’t get matched up. Some help would be great thanks!

My cut looks about the size of yours and has the same features. I traced it on paper and flipped it around to draw the full circle then measured it to get the size on my micrometer. I came up with a 2 reale with an early 1700s date. The shield types should be for a Felipe V type and I'll work on finding my old source for the little letters. They should be an assay or mint mark if I remember right.
