My second day out with the Max. $4.50 and first .925 with the Max. Ring was crushed flat and vdi bounced all over the place from 75-86. Decided to dig it as I had dug .38 ¢ just prior to that. Qtr, Dime, three pennies and the signal was similar. 75-87. Dug both signals... "Just because" to see what the MAX was saying to me.
Today I learned that pretty much anything strong and solid, unwavering in the 42-49 range was can slaw. 53-55 fluctuating was a modern soda can pop can tab. 50-52 was nickel. 74-78 was/could be zincoln. 80-81 DIME??? and 81-82 Copper penny??? Kind of opposite I feel. Qtrs rang from 82/84 to 85/87 for some reason the deeper ones rang more familiar mid/high 80's and the ones right on the surface either rang 82/84 or 89+. Odd. The 89+ for a surface qtr I find really easy to believe but the 82/84 for a surface qtr? Strange. Pretty much digging everything to find out whats what. Oh, Bottle top off beer bottle came in as they usually do. 86/87 directly over top but if you backed off with the nose of the coil just "sniffing" it the signal jumped from 13-86 and if I turned on the iron audio then you could hear it plain as day.
Any other MAX users wanna add their thoughts on VDI's to this?
