Imbedding youtube vids?

I'm new here and would like to post my vids, but when I put them in the Youtube brackets, it doesn't show up just a large blank space where it should be.. Is there a way to show the youtube vid or does it just show the link??? just wondering GH

[youtube ] in the front and a [/youtube ] in the back. copy your link and remove everything except what is after the = in the link. Just the numbers and stuff after the = is all you need inside the brackets.
