What was your unplanned bucket list find?

I have found a lot of cool stuff. This was just interesting because nobody could ever decode this silver ring. I wound up sending it to someone on here for doing volunteer work at an animal shelter.

Some many unexpected bucket listers. If I have to choose probably this 8 Reale I found right across the road from my house in a cornfield.

The lowest end of the Tiffany line but I’ll take it. Did not know what I had till I got home. Thought it was surely silver but nothing exciting, just a step above junk, till seeing those beautiful stamps.

I’ve definitely had a few surprises come out of the ground but this one is probably at the top of the list. It is a solid gold colonial cufflink from the mid-late 1700’s. After researching this I realized how rare they are to find. This was more than likely made from a melted gold coin as jewelers back then didn’t have access to raw gold and had to find it where they could. I spent many hours looking for the other one but no luck. This only beeped a 6 on the equinox and sounded like every other fired .22 bullet I’ve ever found. You never know what’s going to come out next

Morgan silver dollar. Found early in my MD career. So early in fact that I was called out for being a troll when I posted it on this site!

That coin was in lots of pockets before it was lost. Decades of honest circulation wear. Great find!

I think that might be even cooler than finding a gold coin. A unique find for sure. If it was made from a melted gold coin it would be around 22 karat.
