Ever wish your finds could talk?

I wonder this all the time! Perhaps one I think about the most often was when I found 3 fully intact early 1900's Pond's Cold Cream glass containers with lids buried under a tree within a 1ft radius. Why were they there? Nothing was in them (I broke one open trying to unscrew the lid with pliers). Was it because there was no trash service back then? Did some young lady bury them to hide them for some reason? Do the other two have something in them? Was it just a case of weirdness? I'll never know.

Them old silver dollars..... If they were gambled on some old saloon table,
Or if they were at table 10 in Deadwood S.D. ???

and Skelton keys what they opened ?

Yep that's part of this fun hobby, leaving you scratching your head,
thinking how did these get here, who lost this, and how it was lost :?:
Sometimes it's fun just to make your own assumptions....

I have found myself wondering, "how did this get here and why" rather often, and to me it's always amusing to think up stories of possible (or not-so-possible) situations. Once I really let my imagination go, and wrote this really dumb tale about how a chisel ended up in my yard. Seriously though, I agree that to know the history behind certain finds would be pretty fascinating!
