My wife recently surprised me by ordering a Compadre for me for Fathers day since I was detectorless. I was so upset when I noticed that the unit did not output any sound from the headphone jack. Later I noticed a scratch on the housing which seemed to indicate that it was a return or something.
Luckily Amazon took it back. I was later approached by Phil at Myers Depot which said that he would gladly send me an 8" Compadre and test it before it shipped out. After I send the paypal, he sent it out the very same day!
It just arrived with a hand written note saying he tested it before he mailed it. I just hooked up my Killer Bee's and it works great! Thanks again to Phil at Myers Depot! You CANNOT get this kind of service from anywhere but FMDF sponsors!
