I've found 5 five gold rings in the dirt so far, 4 of which in the past two years and three of those in one park. Here's the four from the past two years. All were 9k. Found one gold pendant, and that was in a playground, but the wood chips were rotten (it was deep), so kinda dirt gold, but not really.

Good thread! I got my first three golds ever, this year. The third one was in the water at a small beach, so doesn't count here. Here are the 1st 2: 14K white gold band in the football field; 14K yellow Victorian filigree in a curbstrip.

My first and only, found in frozen ground a couple months ago at a ballfield. 14k, 4g. Figured it was a pulltab, hoped it might be a nickel, and decided to go ahead and dig it.
