1. 2 pieces of what appears to be a shiny metal, very heavy too. Any suggestions on what it could be? was thinking lead but would lead shine like that when snapped in half?

2. A small cylinder - initially thought it was a battery but not sure what it is. Found around a site with soldier activity from WW2

Looks like iron slag, but maybe lead or something else. Iron slag should stick to a strong magnet, while lead will not. Lead is usually soft enough to easily scratch into it with a knife, screw, nail, something steel. Sometimes it can be shiny under the surface.
The other thing just looks like an old electrical component, like capacitor, resistor, etc.
