Got out on Thursday because it was in the 40's here. The wind was blowing 30-35 mph though so made it a little difficult. Went to a corn field that used to have a school house from about 1885-1950. It was my 2nd time there. First time all I found was a wheat cent from 1919. This time my first signal was a solid 19-20, and when I dug a crusty small coin I was 99% sure it was an indian. Had to wait to get home and clean it up some to identify it - sure enough, a 1903 IHP. 2 more hours there yielded nothing though. Still a good way to end the year.

That's a fine way to end the year! There is an existing one-room schoolhouse about 10 miles from me that is still in use. But there is also a big sign No Metal Detecting.

Love those green Indians. Congratulations

Looks like a walk off homer to me. Nice find to end the season. I hope to find 1 or 2 more Ihps before the end of the year. Enjoy the holidays. Mark
