Here are some pictures from a couple of hunts. I accidentally erased some of the digs pictures when I downloaded them. I'm going to have to be more careful! The little buckle thingy and the sterling silver Ma Bell pin were interesting finds. On the Equinox a 27 ID is almost always a silver dime. I also found out that you can reduce the sensitivity to get rid of EMI and not lose any depth.

Nice silver score Beephead. Congrats. I have also found that running sensitivity between 16-18 has no trouble hitting 8 in. coins and not only helps emi but depth id as well. HH Mark

Sometimes when I get a really good deeper signal I'll try some different settings just to see what I can change and still have a chance of hearing it or not. Recently I had what turned out to be a pinpointer deep silver dime and the Nox was clearly hitting it down to a sensitivity of 16.

Thanks, Everyone! I'm finding that a lower sensitivity setting doesn't lose any or very little in-depth, the ID is more accurate and stable, it gets better audio modulation, and it definitely reduces EMI. A good set of headphones is a must.

Looks like you had some great hunts - very nice finds!

I've had my Equinox 800 for just about a year now and I'm very impressed with it. I picked the Andy Sabisch's Equinox book recently, and I'm still learning things about the machine.
