Got out for a bit today, I wanted to try out coin mode on my AtPro at a spot I have permission to go that used to have a house which is now gone. The grass is about a foot tall so I brought my mower along.

Anyway long story short....it was hot as HE...heck out today.

There's the junk I found, couple Lincoln's , a 57 wheat, a round ball and minie ball so I didn't get totally skunked after mowing the section I could tolerate mowing.

I was hoping for more coins...I mainly relic hunt but figured I'd give it a try maybe next time I can mow some of the remaining 70%. I did go back over the area today in zero mode also just in case. :)

Thanks for looking. GL and HH !

I have not seen this on any of the other round balls I have found. Could it be a field cast ball..where sprue was cut off ? Or maybe just some sort of damage...hm.

Nevermind...no seam so it just appears to have been poked by something.

It's going to be a hot Summer, for sure! Already seeing those higher temp. days, here in Tennessee.

I would definitely mow more and hunt this place hard! By the way.... I agree with the early morning hunting. You should be able to get in an hour or so before it gets too hot. Good luck.

Went back today! Hot as blazes once again...couldn't get there really early but that would make sense. Anyway....fresh from the dirt =

Little bit of cleaning...reveals New York button, state seal eagle over coat of arms with "Excelsior", staff officer button.
