Had a pretty good day today digging some CW lead, and found some good examples of the three calibers.

The other comparison is a typical 3-ring .58 caliber I find in this area (rt) vs one on the left that is .58 but different, with a higher base, higher rings, and much brighter patina.

Also, dug a 1944 D nickel today, as well as a 1913 wheat.

The one with the higher rings looks like a Williams Regulation 3-ringer. On those, the lines are just that, instead of "flanged."

What do you think there, MSDirtdauber? Just an idea.

Congrat's on some really good examples!

Well, I always learn something from y'all it seems

I'll be googling Williams regulation 3-ringer. It's really interesting to me the variety of bullets I find in this location.

Thanks for the information.

Some real nice lead! One of the best things about CW bullets is that there is an almost endless variety to find. Congrats on a great hunt!
