Default Detection Depths

I am considering either the M6 or the Fisher F5... just wondering what one should expect for an "average depth" in good oil conditions? I've read people find coins at 10" and others saying that 8" is about average for a good middle of the road machine. The F5 really interested me but the lack of coils gives me pause... plus I am not reading much on the depth the F5 is getting... help here would be good... but in general what should one expect a good average depth to be with any of these machines? (I know coils will make a difference as will ground conditions .... thoughts?

If everything else (ground, target, coil, etc.) was equal...don't bet against the MXT. You'd lose.

Pull the trigger on the MXT and start digging, you won't regret it.
