Went to the beach yesterday. Started out using my Sovereign but the handle on it has broken and my attempts to replace it have failed miserably. The replacement handle I put on is really annoying to use so after finding some really deep sunglasses I switched to one of my ATPros.
Pulled out a few random pennies and then hit a nice coin spill of 4 dimes and 2 quarters.
Was heading back to the car and got a nice 87-89 signal about 8 inches down. When I got it out I could see I had another quarter but was truly surprised to see it was a 1928 Standing Liberty quarter.
This is my second SLQ and vastly superior to the first that was heavily toasted. But it was my FIRST silver coin found on the beach. That made it doubly sweet.
