Back at the mid-1800s farmhouse again. Spoke with the owner and they can't pinpoint an exact date of the house, but are pretty sure it's somewhere around 1830-1850. They said it was a part of the underground railroad - who knows if this is true. Regardless, old stuff is slowly starting to emerge.

Last time I pulled 4 silvers, ranging from 1895-1960, several wheaties, 83 kennedy half dollar, and tons of clad, plus that aluminum Israeli 1 Agorah coin. This time I found a nice heavy duty skeleton key and a couple indians... but it's this find that I'm curious about.

It is a consistent 65 on the AT Pro. About as tall as a quarter. I scrubbed the heck out of it to get most of the gunk off. It is extremely caked on there, and these pics are after an hour of harsh cleaning! It is broken into 2 pieces and has a tiny hole. This made me think it was a necklace charm, but it is an odd shape for that and the hole doesn't seem to face the right way if it were to be worn around the neck.

Let me know what you think it is and what it's made of. I was hoping silver, but 65 is an odd number for that in my limited experience. Possibly stainless steel?

Can't help with the Id, but cool find, hope its silver, and congrats on the key and Ihp. I was detecting in Rostraver on Sat. Dug a Buff at almost a foot down. Good luck. Mark

I've only found 2 Buffalos in my short career. One is pretty much flat. The other had a year, 1937, until I "cleaned" it and now can't see the year.
