I thought I’d never be able to find a colonial site that no ones ever been to, but that changed when I decided to check a spot I’ve been looking at for about a month. Off a construction site for a new development and up a 4ft wide rd I followed to 5 foundations lined with rock walls. So overgrown with ferns and vegetation, I was limited to the cart path and found these items. There are a few other sites that are off of this old rd with about a dozen cellar holes/farm outbuildings. Can’t wait for cold weather so I’ll be taking a weed wacker to clear some area!

Utterly beautiful. Love the green patina on those gilt buttons & the IH. Good job !

Congrats on the Merc, Ihp and all the cool relics. Wait till Nov. and mother nature will take care of the vegetation. Then go back with a 6 in. coil and feast. Good luck. Mark

1ST GREAT FIND WAS THE SITE. Research pays, and often it is a good idea to follow research with boots on the ground scouting and then plan your hunt.
