Went back to my lake beach and waded up to my neck and found this rang up a 53-55on the ATP thought it was probably a nickel. Showed to be 8" and it was deeper than that closer to a foot in wet sand. I just about gave up as it was hard to stay under water that deep with no weights. Glad I stayed with it as it the nicest piece of Jewelry that I've found. Very heavy but not sure of the material guessing Stainless. https://metaldetectingforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=417751&stc=1&d=1529361023

Regardless I like it. Also found 2 quarters,a nickel and 2 small costume jewelry earrings. Pretty good day.

Yeah, I’d be inclined to find out...

No markings? Take a strong magnet (neodymium) to the cross, rare earth...

Keep hitting that spot, gold will be there!

Congrats on the cool cross :)

Magnet doesn't stick and I have found a small 10k BDA gold ring there a few weeks ago. I definitely plan to keep looking there.
