So the other day I pushed into a pocket of the woods I saw I had no marked finds on and boy did it pay off. Besides the normal handful of minie balls and round balls, I managed to get an 1805 Half Cent (toasted), an early 1800s US Navy Button (kind of toasty), and a vintage Boy Scout button in the first couple minutes. This is actually the second button I have found with the early US Navy markings in these woods, surprisingly not really near water. I will definitely be returning to the spot next weekend, this time I only had a few minutes on it before I was smoked from the day.

thanks for looking!

Cool Navy !! Got me one of those Scout buttons out of a CS camp once, really had me going.

Thanks guys! Yeah the boy scout one threw me off a bit at first because the symbol didn't click in my head. But it was pretty random and cool.
