I merely googled this term, and found several not-too-helpful results. Are there a couple of go-to sites for antique buttons?

This one metal, domed, appears to match antique dating, but I'd like more info.

Two holes in the back.

Any back photos? Some people here can help identify age by features. But unfortunately as you'll see in other threads here, some button companies never had lasting catalogs and were lost to history. A lot of people made buttons a long time ago and some things are unknown.

A picture of the back will always be helpful, especially if there is any writing on it. It would also be good to know the size of the button. My first thoughts on your button is that it is some type of blazer/coat button.
