Hi all!
I’m very excited about today’s thread. I’ve been a member here for 10 years and have been addicted to detecting for 11. Though I’ve been detecting on and off since I was 14 in 1985.
Anyway, today I finally hit a milestone I thought I’d never reach - 300 Mercury dimes. These Mercs are #’s 299 & 300 in just under 11 years. This brings me to to a grand total of 790 silver coins since July 2010.
My goal is 1000. I’ve often heard of others far surpassing that, but not starting in 2010. I’ve got an amazing detecting partner(holelotafun) plus two old grade school chums(coinrex and canslaw) who keep me moving forward.
Lastly, the watch fob I found today probably deserves its own thread. Apparently it’s from 1878. In commemoration of a Washington milestone.
Thanks for reading everyone. It’s truly been a joy all these years. The best of luck to you all - enjoy every second out there in the field!!
