Yep, I was at the site as well. The IH penny was up against the side of a sidewalk leading from the back of the old school to the teacherage (where I found the silver half). One of the reasons I believe it was in such good shape. Protected from the elements. The nickel was probably lost only after a year of being used, but it does have a scratch across the forehead if you look close enough. The Barber dime was found at the old church and I was there when he found that as well. That thing is beautiful. The other thing is, the Oklahoma soil is not very acidic, at least not where we live. I've dug many beautiful wheats here.
