Kilbreath85, Caprock, and myself went on a promising hunt of a few gold rush chimney stacks. We didn’t find much and after 6 hours decided to retreat to a last resort just before dark. This “site” was likely a camp but Placer mining had hidden most of the clues. We began a half hearted search of the area and were ready to quit after 15 minutes. While jaw jacking in a circle for a minute or so Kilbreath85 casually swung his detector and got a signal. I began to tell Caprock (new to Kilbreaths ridiculous luck) that this is what he does. Kilbreath informed us it was a coin! I said “Here we go!” He casually said it was an 1851 Franc. I punched him and called him a few names. 2 days later he found a Bondy wreath and I found this square wreath. Hope you guys enjoy...

that is California history speaking loudly ! Great gold rush relics. And the coin is the testament to how many foreign country's people came here to descend on the gold rush fever. Thanx for posting !
