Ive been meaning to thank you as well. These tips we take with us in the field.
Between Park 2 Field 2 and the Gold modes,and were to hit a field you've never been before, which mode would you choose and why...say one field has some iron infestation, where one is fairly clean of iron.

I updated my Equinox 800 with first software update made available to the public, version 1.7.5.
Depth meter has been improved for performances.
See these test done with updated unit.
New version software loaded in Minelab Equinox 80.
Here is some depth gauge info.
Pic of scenario swept with 2x4 thickness as guide for depth.
With an accompanying pic of actual screen while sweeping.
Btw that’s an 85.5 year old lady holding the end detector in pics.
Park 2 default settings used except sensitivty at 23.
First up US nickel
One 2x4.
Two 2x4s
Three 2x4s
Four 2x4s
Five 2x4s
New version installed in Nox.
Park 2 default settings sensitivity dialed to 23.
US clad dime.
Note depth meter readings.
One 2x4
Two 2x4s
Three 2x4s
Four 2x4s
Five 2x4s were used to test with clad dime, Depth meter unrelialbe here, weak signal witnessed.
Same settings used here as noted above on both Nickel and clad dime.
US Clad Quarter
One 2x4
Two 2x4s
An occasional 2 triangles shown with this test.
Three 2x4s
Four 2x4s
Five 2x4s

I'm looking forward to some of your field test results. I have had my updated 600 out a couple of times and it feels OFF somehow to me. I can't put my finger on it though. Really chirpy. Please go, swing, dig, report!

Used updated 800 model yesterday for 4 hours.
Everything seemed ok.
Stable as all get out.
Ran sensitivty at level 24.
Here’s a video comparing both stock and small coil. Eqx 800 model used.
50 tones is also compared with 5 tones with each coil.
A clad dime positioned near 2 nails standing vertical. One of full sized length nail the other a shorter portion nail in the vertical.

That video has triggered my thoughts about doing some more in depth testing of my own. I’m sure I’ve walked over many good finds because I thought the signal was sketchy.

Believe me I left targets too. Especially with earlier Nox use. And later on in same site I could even remember the same spot where I was previously sweeping challenged sounding target. Dug those times and bingo. And using pin point can get a person into trouble some times on these situations. Pinpoint shows big something. And folks walk.
