I have absolutely no clue!

Found this a while back and always wondered what it was for, hope somebody can id it. Made out of copper.

I believe it's a gents pocket knife. Possibly used to hang from a pocket watch.

If it were a pocket knife there usually would be a hole in the center of the scales for the pin to hold the backspring. I'm pretty sure it's not part of a knife.
