Cheap Radio Shack Chinese made detector. Worked fine and I had lots of fun starting out in the hobby with it. My son is now interested so I got it out of the garage where it has been for a few years and slapped new batteries in.
All I get is a constant high tone, even in battery test mode. Nothing I can do stops the tone. Even if I unplug the coils it makes no difference.
Any ideas?
