Did you look on the memberships groups page....
"Iowa metal detectors groups"
click on community at the top of the home page,
and there you'll find all types of groups....
from coins, to states (Iowa)

Hi, I am a retired full-time traveler and an avid MD'er. I am always looking for opportunities to hunt with locals during my travels. Have met some great people and made a few friends.

I will be going thru Iowa over the next few weeks. South on I-35 to to Des Moines and then south on I-5 into Missouri.

Anyone interested in trying to put a hunt with a wondering MD'er, shoot me a PM.

Last hunt here today. 10 quarters, 17 dimes, 4 nickels and 16 high conduct pennies. Plus a 1947 Jefferson dime and a 1944 wheatie. I know there has to be more old coins to find here. All these quarters and dimes tell me it hasn't been hunted that much.
On to Mt Pleasant, IA for a couple of days.

I spent a lot of time in northwestern ia, old area. if i'd known about detecting then... i probably still wouldn't be able to stand up correctly.
