I had gotten a permission for a site where an 1850 hotel once stood. It was actually just razed a couple years ago. So , although excited, I wasn't really expecting alot.

The going was slow from the beginning....Not a whole lot of good tones what so ever for the first half hour .....then a low tone , ended up being a small key.
then a few other pennies and some junk.....
I had left myself a couple hours to hunt and I just didn't want to give up on this property. I even walked 40 yards or so on the outskirts of the foundation area, and found nothing....The grass was quite tall making it pretty tough to swing a coil.....
I had probably spent 3 hours at the site when I decided to make my way back towards my vehicle. I thought I'd give one last try at the main entrance area near the driveway. I caught a weak dime signal at 8 inches or so. It was reading a bit low for a dime so I didn't bother doing a video....When I got down to the target I was surprised to see how shiny it was. I had a feeling it wasn't gonna be a seated coin. When I saw the boat on the coin I really had my doubts that it was even silver....
But anyway...... It's a keeper , number 31 fty.

That praying mantis is pretty cool, I usually find 1-2 a year while out hunting. Congrats on the Canadian silver and the rest!
